SNOW AND WEATHER

It’s definitely spring here in Golden but the high alpine feels like winter. That is, until the blazing sun comes out. Spring always means a variety of weather. One moment you’re in a t shirt and the next you’re in your puffy overcoat.

There’s quite a bit of fresh snow out there and it can be pretty deep in spots.

Avalanche

Please make sure you check  Avalanche.ca  everyday you ride.

The alpine continues to be the main area of concern.

“Continually assess your local conditions. Periods of intense sun can quickly destabilize the surface snow.” – copy and pasted from Avalanche.ca on April 6
