Conditions Report: Jan 9 – Excellent!

The snowmobile conditions in Golden remain excellent. The snow taps have been turned back on and we’ve received over 70cms of fluffy snow in the past week. There’s another 30-40 cms in the forecast too. Grooming ops are going full steam and the trails are in very good condition. Avalanche conditions remain considerable in the alpine. Oh yeah, one more thing. No body is out here! The holiday rush was busy but we’ve had 2 resets this week and only a few have taken it in. Christmas may be over but ol’ man winter keeps gifting us more pow!

SNOW AND WEATHER

The past week has seen a sneaky amount of snow fall: over 70cms. It came over a few days so there was no big horn blasting about a big dump but trust us when we say, it’s added up. Conditions are handlebar deep in many places and the riding has been excellent. It looks like there’s a warm spike coming next week so it’s probably best if you get out and get it while you can.

There is snow in the forecast and we can expect 30-40 in the next week coming up.

The stairs to Quartz cabin are buried.
