Conditions Report: Feb 19 – Sneaky Pow
Snowmobile conditions in Golden have been quite good lately. Smaller storms have enabled sneaky accumulations of fresh and there’s definitely some decent pow to be had. Temps have turned cooler but they are no where near the arctic temps on the prairies. Avalanche conditions look to remain moderate through the weekend and our grooming ops are going full. It’s looking like another good weekend of sledding out in Golden.

Silent Pass
Silent has had really good riding this past week.
The Main road is gravel till about 6km and then quite icy. The North Fork road is single lane in many areas with loose snow. Chains are a good idea to have in case.
The upper parking lot can get tight on a busy weekend. Please park in a way that allows others to do what they need to do. If you’re towing a large trailer on a busy weekend and you’re late to arrive, you may want to consider parking on the road at the McMurdo bridge.
