Riley Suhan Invitational
Limited to only 52 participants by invitation the inaugural Riley Suhan Invitation is going to be an epic day. This unique mountain race will traverse a large loop of the Quartz Creek riding zone and be executed in a relay format.
Compete or watch – there will be a BBQ, great viewing and good times to be had by all.

How Much: You may only register by invitation. Invited riders will pay a $100 registration fee. Please send us an email to sled@sledgolden.com if you’re interested in participating and we’ll add you to the list!
Bib Draw & Rider Meeting: The bib draw, rider meeting and team selection will take place on Friday, April 6, 7:00 pm at Mountain Motorsports in Golden.
Awards & After Party: No better way to celebrate a day well spent than over a few beers at the Dugout, Golden’s sledder bar. We’ll gather after the event on Saturday, April 7 at 7:00 pm for awards, photo slide-show, and general good times.
Race Day: Rider sign in at 12:00 pm (noon) at Quartz Cabin. Cool lap of course at 1:00 pm for all riders. Start at 2:00 pm, all riders finished by 3:30 pm. The Dugout will have a BBQ fired up from 12:00 – 2:00 pm so bring some cash for a burger.
Other Details
The course will be announced on the day of the competition, pending avalanche concerns and terrain stability. The course will form one large loop of the Quartz Creek riding zone.
Riders will be in teams of four and complete the course sequentially in an order of the teams choice. We will do the team draw on Friday, April 6 in Golden. Each team will have one pro, one lady shredder and two randomly selected other members.
The prize purse will be $2500: $1250 to first place team, $750 to 2nd place and $500 to 3rd place. Prizes will also be given out for the fastest lap, fastest rider on the timed climb, best jump (jump on course) and biggest steeze.
