A reminder to those heading to Quartz Creek these days, there are two parking lots! Look at the signs when you drive in and park in the appropriate location. Trucks and trailers to the LEFT and trucks with decks to the RIGHT.

Everyone is still having a great time out there by the looks of things. Even though it hasn’t snowed in a while, there is still some enjoyable sledding to be had if you go wandering a little off the beaten track.

SNOW AND WEATHER
Well one thing is for sure, it’s still a bit cold this week… but BOY does that sun pack a punch and warm things up pretty quickly these days. Time to get your goggle tan on.
We aren’t expecting LOADS of snow, but we will definitely see some fresh stuff beginning on Friday and rolling through the weekend. And who knows, it might amount to a decent amount of snow! Those sneaky storms are always a possibility at this time of the year!
Avalanche
Things are fairly stable out there these days, but remember that small avalanches can have big consequences in extreme terrain or when there are terrain traps present. That means if you are above cliffs, a depression or a swathe of trees, you should be considering what could happen if even a small slide comes down. Be cautious with the new snow coming in this weekend. There are sure to be storm slabs forming on those old surfaces.
Avalanche Canada has a great amount of resources on its site. Find the link here but feel free to check out other parts of the website because there is lots to check out.
Grooming
The cool temps are keeping the trails in nicer shape, but the warmer weather will bring more whoops. However! Groomers will be firing on all injectors for the next couple weeks to keep the trails as smooth as possible.
Check below for the Garmin grooming map for updates (scroll down to see grooming in REAL TIME). Let us know how it is out there these days!

The map below is linked to the safety InReaches we have in our groomers and we have been able to make the tracks public. How to use the map:
- Press on the + next to the groomer/zone you want the latest information for.
- Once the line is visible, press on the line to see the date & time the groomer was last in action.
This map only shows the most recent groom. You can inquire at any of our trailheads for additional grooming information, including number of riders since the last groom.
