Conditions Report: Sunny Times
We’ve had 85cms in the past week and now it’s going sunny. Temps are warming up and the blue skies are on their way. Our beacon basin is in at Quartz, there’s some good deals to be had and GORMA could really use your help… Please keep reading to find out more.
How it’s Been
Last week was crazy! Deep pow but high avalanche risk.
Snow and Weather
KHMR reported 85cms in the past week and we’ve had over 5 metres of snow this season!
Looks like it’s sunny and warm this week.
You never really know how a day in the mountains will go unless you’re there, but Snow-Forecast.com can give you an idea.
Avalanche Conditions
Conditions are still considerable. Consider these avalanches that happened in the Dogtooth range near Gorman this week…
Check out avalanche bulletins each time you go. They’re updated daily and conditions can change quickly. If you can ride in the mountains you’re probably travelling in avalanche terrain. Please be careful and submit what you see to the MIN Network.
*Please note: GSC grooming operations are responsive to WorkSafe BC protocols for avalanche safety and working alone. This means the GSC grooming operations are under the direction of a professional avalanche forecaster, who, at times, applies limits to the terrain that the groomer can pass through and this may affect the grooming product. Please adjust your expectations accordingly. *

Logging operations are ongoing this year, currently up a spur off the parking lot at 21 km. Therefore you can drive to the 21km parking lot but expect to encounter industrial vehicles the entire way. Please review our road safety video and drive with care.
