Here’s a  pic from 2 years ago but we have a sneaky suspicion that Quartz could play similar to this in the next few days.

Hey you! Get educated. For real, this isn’t a joke, playing the mountains can literally be a matter of life or death. Please get yourself educated before you venture into the backcountry.

Quartz Creek

Conditions: Good but still very early season - powder and packed powder with a limited base
Grooms scheduled: Friday Evening Nov 18, Saturday Evening Nov 19
Fees: $15 Saturday Nov 19 and Sunday Nov 20. Credit Card payment is preferred, cash is accepted.
Parking: Please park at main lot. The parking lot is clear with a skiff of snow on it.
Additional notes:

Updated: We are able to groom 3/4 of the trail.  Passes are discounted accordingly.  The rest we will attempt to drag.

We’re hoping the groomer is able to make a nice trail over the creek crossings that were mandatory last week. Please be aware that conditions are still very early season and hazards exist everywhere.

Gorman Lake

Conditions: Very thin coverage above the lake.
Grooms scheduled: none
Fees: $0
Parking: no data
Road: no data - but chances are it's slippery.
Additional notes: We’ve had limited reporting out of Gorman. Traditionally, it takes longer for Gorman to fill in than Quartz or Silent. One local described it this week as ‘not worth it yet.’

Silent Pass

Conditions: no data
Grooms scheduled: none
Fees: $0
Parking: no data
Road: Word on the rumour mill is that we might have to groom from the 6km road mark from late November on this winter!
Additional notes: We’ve heard of guys out at Silent but don’t have much to offer in terms of information. We suspect getting to the alpine will be challenge for non experts. If you’ve been to Silent please let us know.

Please support our valuable sponsors. Without them, we couldn’t make things happen.
