Welcome to opening weekend. We’re very pleased to announce that grooming operations will commence this Friday evening (Nov 17) in Quartz Creek (only in Quartz). This will be the first pass with our new equipment. Here’s hoping everything goes right. Trail fees are scheduled to be charged at Quartz on Saturday and Sunday. Keep reading to find out more.

Here are some recent pictures from Quartz
Here’s a pic from 2 years ago but we have a sneaky suspicion that Quartz could play similar to this in the next few days.
Check out http://sledgolden.com/webcams-and-conditions/ to see our new webcams and temp read outs. We’ve installed solar panels that feed a satellite system which will remotely update the conditions at Quartz on an hourly basis.
We’ve had approximately 15 cms in the past week but we are expecting much more. There’s 37 cms in the forecast for the Quartz Area before Tuesday morning.
Hey you! Get educated. For real, this isn’t a joke, playing the mountains can literally be a matter of life or death. Please get yourself educated before you venture into the backcountry.
Updated: We are able to groom 3/4 of the trail. Passes are discounted accordingly. The rest we will attempt to drag.
We’re hoping the groomer is able to make a nice trail over the creek crossings that were mandatory last week. Please be aware that conditions are still very early season and hazards exist everywhere.
